Arctic chill

Listening to the Arctic Monkey's gives me goosebumps. They have this undeniable flare about them, that's like a drug to me. For the past two weeks, they've been the number one spot on my iPod and believe me, that a very hard spot to come by. I normally don't listen to music made in the last 5-10 years, but this band makes it hard to pull away.

My personal favorite is "Fluorescent Adolescent" from their 2007 album, "Favourite Worst Nightmare". I had originally found this song on Elvis Costello's celebrity playlist a couple years back, and I instantly fell for the witty yet creative lyrics and sound. I wandered through iTunes, looking at the rest of their work and found my new obsession. All their songs provided this comical and relaxing sound that made me yearn for more.

Yet, after a while, I stopped listening and went back to listening to older stuff. I have no clue what was going through my mind at that point in time...

However, the other day, I put my iPod on shuffle and almost fell over when I heard "When the Sun Goes Down", it was like I had missed something for a year. Since then I've been a woman obsessed. And, I'm happy to say I'm ok with that.

Oh, and if you see the post time on this, I'm guessing you figured out that I can't sleep :)
