Hey everyone! My name is K and I'm a high school student living in east coast. I live in a small town, which most people will have never heard of, so there's no point in even mentioning it. At my school, everyone wears jeans and Uggs. There's the occasional attempt to dress nicer, but it usually results in a groups of clones. For me, I'm more of a stand out type of girl, who enjoys wearing dressing up a bit, hence the title of this blog. In upcoming posts, you'll see what I like to wear and how I try my best to stand out. I feel like I should get this out of the way, so here it goes...
I've grown up parading through my mom and occasionally my grandmother's closets, in which I find multitudes of clothing I envy. My mom had given me a pair of vintage Chanel kitten heels when I was about 13, for they had become to small for her. Since then, I've become a fashion addict. I'm a sucker for the 50's, so I search through vintage shops every chance I can on vacations, since there are none where I live. Because of the major upset, I've adapted to modern designers and have actually grown to love them.
Those discount designer websites such as Gilt Groupe, are life savers, since fashion is definitely not cheap, and I don't have the amount of money it would cost to fully satisfy my clothing desires. I do love high-end designers, but most of my favorite finds are under $100.
So that's my little story on fashion, I'll elaborate as the posts continue.
